Leave the backpack at the hotel. Bridgestone Arena refuses backpacks of any size, and there is no bag storage on site. Other bags are fine up to 12 × 12 × 6 inches. The arena sits at 501 Broadway downtown and holds about 20,000 for concerts.

The bag rule

Bags smaller than 6 × 4 × 1.5 inches get express screening. Bags between that and 12 × 12 × 6 inches are X-rayed. Anything larger is refused, and so is every backpack. Clear bags are allowed within the same size. Diaper and medical bags are allowed but X-rayed.

Doors, re-entry and payment

Doors open 90 minutes before concerts and Predators games. There is no re-entry. The arena is cashless: cards and mobile payment only. Children under 2 get in free on a lap; everyone 2 and older needs a ticket.

Parking

The arena lists nine garages and lots nearby, including Fifth + Broadway across the street, the attached garage at 6th Avenue South and Demonbreun, and the Music City Center garage. It publishes two pre-purchase prices: $25 at the First Baptist Church lot and $10 at the Fifth Ave. of the Arts garage for Predators games.

For Predators games, parking at Nissan Stadium Lot R is free. A shuttle takes five to seven minutes, or you can walk the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge in 10 to 12 minutes. The shuttle runs from two hours before the game until two hours after.

Drop-off and transit

The drop-off point is the eastbound curb lane of Broadway between 5th and 6th Avenues. Lyft is the arena's rideshare partner. WeGo Central, the city bus hub, is downtown.
